TL;DR

Enable MCP connectors in ChatGPT, add MCP360 server URLs with your API key, and verify tools appear before running live ad or CRM prompts.

ChatGPT's MCP connector support lets teams standardize on OpenAI while still using MCP360's hosted business servers. This guide mirrors the Claude Desktop walkthrough for ChatGPT users.

Prerequisites

  • ChatGPT plan with MCP / connector support (availability varies by rollout)
  • [MCP360 account](/register) with at least one connected integration
  • API key from [Dashboard → API Keys](/dashboard/api-keys)
  • Connect a Business Server

In ChatGPT settings → Connectors / MCP, add a custom server:

  • **URL:** `https://meta-ads.mcp.mcp360.net/` (or another MCP360 endpoint)
  • **Auth:** Bearer token or env-style header per ChatGPT's form — use your `mcp_live_` key
  • Repeat for additional services (CRM, Ecommerce) as needed.

    Verify Tools Loaded

    Before production prompts, ask:

    > "List available MCP tools for ads"

Confirm campaign and metrics tools appear. If not, re-check key permissions and account connections in the dashboard.

    First Business Prompt

    > "Summarize Meta ad spend and ROAS for the last 7 days"

Compare output to Ads Manager once. See Meta Ads MCP setup for platform-specific tips.

    Claude vs ChatGPT

Feature parity for MCP tools is high; differences are mostly client UX. Read Claude vs ChatGPT for ad management before standardizing your org on one client.

    Security

Use read-only keys for experimentation. Enable writes only with budget safety configured for ad tools.
